Chancellor of the Judiciary (ag), Yonnette Cummings-Edwards on Monday urged the participants in the Governments of Guyana and Canada’s Restorative Justice Practitioners Training to take the programme seriously.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Restorative Justice Practitioners Training, at the Police Officers’ Mess Annex in Georgetown, AG Nandlall highlighted the massive benefits that these approaches will have on citizens and businesses.
As part of the Government’s agenda for the modernisation of Guyana’s legal framework, the concept of restorative justice is gradually taking centre stage.
This point was made by Attorney General and Legal Affairs Minister Anil Nandlall, who contends that building the country’s restorative justice system is a major priority for the Government of Guyana.
